Euclid-Woodlawn TCE Remediation
Cleveland, Ohio
Project: Euclid-Woodlawn TCE Remediation
Design Engineer: Partners Environmental
Client: Cuyahoga County Land Bank
Completed: 2025
ERC was selected as the contractor to remediate the Euclid-Woodlawn Redevelopment Site, which had TCE-impacted soils and groundwater from historic site use. The primary objective was to reduce contaminant levels and enable safe redevelopment. We began by removing and stockpiling the upper six feet of soil, then performed in-situ chemical/biological treatment of TCE-impacted soils from 6’–12’ below ground surface. Treated soils were stabilized with Calciment and compacted to support future construction. For groundwater, ERC implemented a direct-push injection program targeting TCE and its breakdown products across an 8,500 sq. ft. area, with injections up to 20’ deep. All work included utility protection, dust suppression, and strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. The site was restored with proper grading and seeding, ready for future mixed-use development.
